Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers, including inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other systems
  • Ensure the safe operation of our fleet by performing regular safety checks and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies
Requirements
  • 12 years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience
  • Leadership experience required
  • Ability to provide own tools commensurate with experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend service manuals
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the shop to repair and maintain company equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance
  • Knowledge of diagnostic software
  • Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers and accessorial equipment
