Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join our critical care team at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, TX. As a critical care nurse practitioner, you will provide direct patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working closely with a provider team consisting of pulmonary critical-care physicians and other APCs.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
  • Formulate diagnoses, identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic interventions, and educate and counsel patients and families.
  • Make referrals to patients and families as necessary, and provide care that achieves optimal individual patient outcomes and meets performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.
  • Texas licensure as a registered nurse and national board certification as an APC.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • At least 2 years of experience in critical care as an APC, although new graduates will be considered.
