Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual to become part of our investment team as an Analyst.
This position provides the chance to work closely with and learn from experienced investment professionals in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting that values teamwork and a flat organizational structure.
As an Analyst at BIP Ventures, you will engage in all facets of the investment process, from underwriting and due diligence to creating insightful reports and offering transaction and valuation modeling assistance.
Moreover, you will play a vital role in portfolio management, which includes cap table management, financial modeling, and developing investment return projections.
Key Responsibilities:

You will participate in various tasks that support our investment and portfolio management initiatives:
Lead Portfolio Management Activities:
Oversee ongoing portfolio projects, including cap table modeling, forecasting future capital requirements, monitoring key performance indicators, and conducting investment returns analysis.
Conduct Comprehensive Financial Analyses:
Utilize your financial expertise to generate revenue forecasts and scenario analyses that guide decision-making.
Assess Prospective Investments:
Evaluate potential investments, manage deal pipelines, and formulate well-structured, thoughtful investment theses.
Prepare Diligence Packages:
Create thorough and comprehensive due diligence packages for potential investments, effectively articulating support for underwriting assumptions and assisting the Deal Lead during Investment Committee presentations.
Support Portfolio Reporting:
Contribute to our portfolio reporting, ensuring accurate and insightful updates for stakeholders and investors; manage internal reporting systems and learn to assess the risk/reward ratio of investment opportunities.
Prioritize Competing Tasks:
Balance competing priorities with a strong execution mindset to meet critical deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and producing high-quality work.
Requirements
We seek a candidate with experience in investment opportunity evaluation, due diligence, market research, and/or competitive insights, possessing strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive and self-initiate in a fast-paced environment.
You should have a keen eye for detail, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to embrace challenges while contributing to a team that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of possibility.
Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Years of experience in transaction due diligence, growth strategy consulting (market research), or private, buy-side investing.
Strong analytical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, demonstrated by the ability to convey technical concepts and business impacts to diverse audiences.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with financial modeling is a strong advantage.
