Job Description

whiteSpace, an information technology consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect Lead to join our team. Located in the United States, we serve clients in the middle market with a focus on social good, technology, and client engagement.

We are committed to providing an authentic, human-centered approach to delivering solutions that drive positive change in society. As a Senior Cloud Architect Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and leading the delivery of cloud-based solutions for our clients.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, test, and release cloud-based applications and services.
  • Work closely with clients to elicit and clarify application requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead daily team activities, manage team members, and direct Agile technical delivery activities.
  • Rapidly adapt to new technologies and domains to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
  • Oversee the operationalization, monitoring, and maintenance of distributed systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Support internal company needs as required.

About You:

  • A U.S. citizen, eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Based in the United States, able to work remotely.
  • A self-motivated individual who thrives in a remote-first culture, exceling in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at navigating fast-paced environments with minimal supervision, possessing strong problem-solving skills.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Object-oriented Programming using Java.
  • Proficient in designing and working in Cloud-native Architecture, with a strong understanding of cloud computing principles.
  • Proven experience working in agile environments, collaborating with designers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices such as Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, and Pair Programming.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, with a proven track record of success.
  • Willingness to learn new languages and techniques, and obtain relevant certifications.
  • An active Public Trust Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $150,000 to $210,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • 100% paid HSA medical, dental, and vision premiums, plus 20% coverage for dependents.
