Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a Circulating Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ORs and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient care and support to individuals during operative and invasive procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the OR team to ensure efficient room turnover and patient flow.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and computer charting to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon and OR staff.
  • Ensure Pre-op Checklist is complete before patient is taken into surgical suite.
  • Respond to emergencies and physically distressful situations in a composed and professional manner.
  • Facilitate communication between patient, surgeon, and OR staff and family as needed.
  • Provide thorough report of patient's intraoperative condition to PACU nurse.
Requirements
  • Current State of Utah Registered Nurse License.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • One or more years of OR experience required.
