Underwriting Specialist

CNA is seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Specialist to join our team. As an Underwriting Specialist, you will be responsible for the profitable growth of an assigned book of Healthcare Professional and General Liability business for Allied Health Facilities and Physicians.

• Underwrite new business and renewals for Healthcare Professional and General Liability policies
• Conduct thorough analysis of financial and competitive data to determine acceptability of risk
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and agents to drive new business and retention
• Collaborate with actuaries to ensure accurate pricing and risk assessment
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimal risk management

• 7-10 years of underwriting experience in the healthcare industry
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with ability to interpret complex data and make sound business decisions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to work effectively with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders
• BA or BS degree in a relevant field, with RPLU, CPCU, or similar designations a plus
