Underwriting Specialist

CNA is seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist to join our team. As an Underwriting Specialist, you will be responsible for the profitable growth of an assigned book of Healthcare Professional and General Liability business for Allied Health Facilities and Physicians.

• Underwrite new business and renewals for Healthcare Professional and General Liability policies
• Conduct thorough account reviews and file documentation to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and agents to drive new business and retention
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify cross-sell opportunities and create growth within other lines of business and customer segments
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal underwriting outcomes

• 7-10 years of underwriting experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with experience in medical professional and general liability coverages
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with ability to interpret complex data and make sound business decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders
• BA or BS degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
