Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Team Leader, you will oversee all operations during your shift. This encompasses cost management, inventory oversight, cash handling, and customer relations. You are expected to lead by example, adhering to all policies and procedures consistently and ensuring your team does the same.
Additionally, your responsibilities will include Staffing, Administrative Tasks, Cost Management, Cash Handling, Food Oversight, Scheduling, Maintaining Standards, Delivering Excellent Customer Service, Ensuring Attendance & Punctuality, Transportation Logistics, Store Cleanliness, Marketing Efforts, and Profit Maximization.
These are the fundamental duties, but here’s what else you can anticipate:
General Responsibilities

  • Operate all necessary equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and workstations
  • Prepare food products
  • Receive and process customer orders
  • Conduct inventory checks and complete related documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities regularly
  • Demonstrate depth perception
  • Differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
Essential Attributes

  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, handle stress, meet strict quality standards, engage with people, analyze data, and make informed decisions
Physical Requirements include, but are not limited to:
Standing

  • Most tasks are performed while standing
Walking

  • For short distances and durations
Lifting

  • Bulk deliveries occur multiple times a week and are handled by team members using hand trucks
  • Deliveries may consist of cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Items are typically lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high
Carrying

  • Large cans weighing over 3 pounds are transported from workstations to storage
  • Occasionally, heavier items like pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds are moved
  • Trays of pizza dough, approximately 12 pounds each, are carried in groups of three over short distances
Pushing

  • To move trays placed on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds
  • Trays may also be pulled
Climbing

  • Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders for tasks such as changing prices or performing maintenance
Stooping/Bending

  • Forward bending is necessary at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients
  • Duration of this position is approximately seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day
Crouching/Squatting

  • Occasionally performed to stock shelves and clean lower areas
Reaching

  • Continuous reaching in various directions
Hand Tasks

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination is essential; hands are actively engaged throughout the day
  • Many tasks require the use of one or both hands
  • Shaping pizza dough involves frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists
