About the Opportunity

ESS is seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher to assist with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. As an ESS substitute teacher, you will follow and teach lesson plans, aid students in understanding subject matter, and ensure that regular classroom routines are followed.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement the regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Qualifications

• Certified - Valid SC Teacher Certification
• Non-Certified - High School diploma
• Background Check
• Negative tuberculosis test
