Job Summary
UF Health Shands is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at the Florida Recovery Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients, including initial and ongoing assessment of clinical needs, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, and facilitation of continuity-of-care.
- Develop and implement patient and family engagement strategies, as well as anticipate and prevent early withdrawal from treatment.
- Collaborate with referral source professionals and other collateral professionals involved in assigned cases, including referring physicians, therapists, monitoring programs, attorneys, EAPs, judges, and probation officers.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy under clinical supervision, as well as develop and provide therapeutic and educational activities utilizing individual, family, and group modalities.
- Participate in individual and group clinical supervision, demonstrating consistent professional growth and progress toward the next level of credentialing based on eligibility.
Requirements
- Masters or Ph.D. in clinical social work, rehabilitation counseling, counselor education, addiction counseling, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or other CACREP or CSWE accredited Graduate Degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinically supervised experience required, with preference in substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders.
- Recovering professionals must have minimum of three years of continuous sobriety immediately preceding and concurrent with hire date.
