Labor and Delivery Nurse

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at North Colorado Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families, ensuring a safe and personalized birthing experience.
About the RoleThis is a 36-hour night position available on our 10-bed Labor and Delivery unit, which averages roughly 130 births per month. You will work with a diverse patient population and provide care to patients with varying levels of acuity. Our team is committed to providing evidence-based and patient-centered nursing care, and we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
- Formulate a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family, and health team input.
- Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the activities of the health care team.
- Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revise the plan of care as needed.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.
