Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Manager to lead our team at Birchstone. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our property, ensuring exceptional resident satisfaction, and upholding our company values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve operational, financial, and business performance goals.
  • Lead and direct all aspects of property operations, including budgeting, financial analysis, and staff management.
  • Ensure compliance with Birchstone standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Recruit, hire, and train high-performing team members to ensure exceptional property performance.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Monitor and analyze financial statements, reconciling monthly statements against approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Controller, ownership, and other stakeholders to address and resolve financial performance gaps.
  • Provide regular updates on operations and financial performance to the Regional Manager.
  • Ensure efficient and timely processing of all forms, reports, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of work experience as a Property Manager in a multi-family environment preferred.
  • Three or more years of work experience in multi-family, Conventional/Market Rate, Class A and Class B communities preferred.
  • One or more years of work experience in a Supervisory role preferred.
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), and/or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certifications strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong business acumen and sufficient expertise in marketing, leasing, and financial management.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, and the ability to develop, train, and motivate others.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong budgeting, mathematical, and analytical skills.
  • Innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; possesses general computer skills.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Entrata software and/or other Property Management and supplemental software solutions.
  • Ability to work varying hours and promptly respond to emergency situations.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
