We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team at ASRC Federal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Software Factory team to ensure the development and operation of cloud infrastructure platforms for the customer (MDA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement secure and scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and customers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- US Citizenship and current DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 10 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 7 years of related experience.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments.
- Recent experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud.
- Recent experience and skills in agile software principles, particularly regarding building a plan or roadmap for multiyear program/product.
- Ability to write or review software code.
- Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Helm Charts and Ansible Technologies.
- Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or other cloud orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with branching strategies, gated commits, and source-controlled management.
- Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts).
- Programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment (PowerShell, etc.).
