This Role Pays a Minimum of $20/Hour

We are seeking experienced Lead Teachers for our Infant and Toddler programs at various campuses:

  • Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg: Conveniently located near 270 & Rt. 355
  • Downtown Bethesda: In the heart of exciting Bethesda/Chevy Chase (metro accessible)
  • Greenwood/Hyattstown: Located in the old Kaiser building in a growing area by Prince George's Plaza (metro accessible)
  • NRC/Rockville: Right in the middle of the action on 'the Pike' across from Pike & Rose (metro accessible)
  • Potomac Village: In the heart of Potomac off of the intersection of Falls and River Roads, with public transportation access to the 2T or #47 bus

The available positions are full-time, with hours from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm. As a Lead Teacher, you will meet the individual needs of infant or toddler children, ages 6 weeks - 24 months, using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide educational support and care for infants and toddlers, promoting their physical, socio-emotional, and developmental growth.
  • Supervise and ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students under your care.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team.
  • Maintain open communication with families, colleagues, and the community.
  • Create a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of the MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or the CDA Certification with the Infant/Toddler Endorsement.
  • An excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations.
  • A warm, friendly, and cool-tempered demeanor.
  • Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • High organization and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Team-oriented and willing to work collaboratively.
  • Per Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment.

The estimated salary range for this role is between $20-$24 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
