About the Role:

We are opening new rooms and seeking Lead Teachers for our Infant and Toddler programs at multiple campuses.

  • Downtown Bethesda - In the heart of Bethesda/Chevy Chase with metro accessibility
  • NRC/Rockville - Located near Pike & Rose with public transportation access
  • Potomac Village - Situated in Potomac off Falls and River Roads with bus access

Your role will be to meet our students' individual needs and foster each child's independence in a family-like environment of trust and warmth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational support and interests for infant or toddler children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum
  • Supervise infant children to ensure their health, welfare, and safety
  • SUPPORT THE PHYSICAL, SOCIO-EMOTIONAL, AND DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS OF EACH CHILD IN THE CLASSROOM
  • Demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and community
  • Create a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff

Qualifications:

We seek candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

  • A minimum of MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Certification with the Infant/Toddler Endorsement
  • Excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
  • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations
  • A personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-tempered
  • Proficient technological skills including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely reliable in attendance and punctuality
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Team-oriented and willing to work with others

The Estimated Salary Range for this Role is: $20-$24 per hour.
