Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at ACAV and Associates LLC. As a traveling technician, you will be responsible for working on electric motors and generators at wind farms and industrial sites across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replace generator bearings and collector rings at wind turbines
  • Perform inspections, testing, and repairs on wind turbine generators and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components and equipment
  • Read drawings, prints, and schematics to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance using various technologies
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or Certification as a Wind Turbine Technician is a plus
  • Current OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR Certifications
  • Able to climb and work at heights above 260 feet
  • Substantial mechanical and electrical testing and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks
  • Must be willing to travel nationwide up to 80% of the time
Additional Requirements
  • Pass a background check, drug screening, and fit-for-duty physical exam
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record
  • Fluently read, write, and speak English; bilingual Spanish is a plus
