">We are seeking a skilled Counselor Engagement Specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 based on location and experience.
Job Description
The Counselor Engagement Specialist will work collaboratively with program staff to maintain a high-quality intake system, providing pastoral counseling to program beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to The Salvation Army's Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.
- Work cooperatively with all ARC staff, beneficiaries, and outside agencies.
- Develop and maintain a network of outside referral sources by telephone, letter, and personal contact.
- Interview, assess, and process necessary paperwork for applicants to the ARC program.
- Provide a positive, appealing, and uplifting first impression of the ARC program.
- Facilitate community engagement activities to strengthen opportunities for identification of potential new beneficiaries.
- Maintain accurate records of house tracking systems, counseling assignments, bed assignments, and work therapy assignments.
- Assist in crisis intervention as needed.
- Compile beneficiary work therapy reports and statistical information specific to your area of responsibility.
- Carry a case load of approximately 15-20 men and women, providing case management and counseling services.
- Maintain beneficiary files up to date with relevant forms and paperwork.
- Conduct education classes and/or groups per week as assigned.
- Operate compliance testing for prohibited substances equipment and maintain accurate records of test results.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- AA/BA degree in a related counseling field preferred.
- Previous residential and rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
