Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at DES MICRO PRECISION GROUP LLC. This role involves working with various metals to create high-quality structures and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in structural steel and miscellaneous iron fabrication tasks.
  • Execute custom metal fabrication projects.
  • Interpret blueprints and analyze work orders for project specifications.
  • Source and retrieve materials from inventory as needed.
  • Examine drawings to ensure proper layout, fabrication, and welding requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding machinery efficiently.
  • Perform TIG and MIG welding with precision (average radius tolerance of 1/16).
  • Conduct tests to assess weld quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Measure and cut metal materials to required dimensions.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Support the operation of additional machinery when necessary.
  • Utilize manual machinery for cutting, punching, bending, and drilling tasks.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with safety protocols is essential. Candidates must be capable of effectively using tools and equipment available on-site.

Compensation: Pay is competitive and based on experience and skill level, starting at $23.00 per hour.
