Job Title: Graduate Nurse, Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Graduate Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Boone Health. As a Graduate Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary:

The Graduate Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Educate patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
  • Use critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
  • Evaluate patient's response and modify plan of care accordingly throughout the patient's stay.
  • Participate in activities that promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in professional development and lifelong learning.
Requirements:
  • Nursing Diploma/Associate degree
  • No experience required
  • No supervisor experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Work Environment:

This is a night shift position, working 36 hours per week, with a weekend/holiday rotation as required by the department. Benefits begin on the first day of employment, and free parking is available.
