We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service Functions:
- Greet visitors and clients, answer telephones, and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Place outbound calls for follow-ups and reach out to prospective clients
- Present and explain fees, including processing payments
- Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions
- Answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
- Qualifications:
- At least one year of established experience in veterinary customer service
- Preferred prior veterinary experience
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Compassion for pets and people, as well as awareness and understanding of others' reactions
- Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
- The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets
