Under general supervision, the Visual Communications Specialist is responsible for creating both digital and print materials, exhibit components, and illustrations for various publications, displays, and other media at Campbellsville University.
- Develop, design, and produce educational training and promotional materials including flyers, advertisements, brochures, logos, signage, exhibits, and displays.
- Compose and refine primary text for the aforementioned materials.
- Design and create camera-ready artwork, which includes graphs, charts, clip art, posters, and the digitization of graphics and photographs.
- Generate electronically designed page layouts and integrate word processing files into these layouts as necessary. May also create web-based graphics upon request.
- Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and publications as required.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to assess their graphic needs, budget limitations, and realistic project timelines. Act as a liaison between clients and printers/publishers.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; a minimum of 3 years of experience directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
- Substitution: Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that exceed the minimum educational requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Graphic Design Knowledge: Proficient understanding of graphic design principles and practices.
