Job Summary:

As a PDI Technician at Skyjack, you will be responsible for conducting thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections on machines prior to delivery to customers. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will work efficiently and safely, either independently or as part of a team, to ensure that all equipment is prepped, cleaned, and ready for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full pre-delivery inspections on machines to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine mechanical duties, troubleshoot for failures, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Track and document material usage, including parts inventory.
  • Ensure accurate and complete paperwork and systems entry.
  • Carry out paint touch-ups as required.
  • Maintain a safe work area, ensuring proper clean-up after inspections are complete.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Evidence of technical training in a mechanical field is an advantage.
  • Ability to gain a license or certification to operate a Forklift and Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) equipment.
  • Supply own hand tools; specialized tools will be provided.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is an advantage.
