About the Opportunity

This position involves working on and replacing marine machinery and equipment on commercial vessels. The ideal candidate will have experience in the marine or construction field and be trained in diesel or heavy machinery mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and other machinery found on passenger vessels.
  • Heavy machinery maintenance and repair work, including engine valve gear timings, injector changes, and cylinder head and liner overhauls.
  • Water jet maintenance and repair while the vessel is in the water or in dry dock.
  • Vessel electrical troubleshooting and repair of generators, motors, control systems, sensors, and related wiring.
  • Testing and inspecting installed machinery and equipment during dock and sea trials.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive take-offs and material lists for repairs and overhauls.
  • Documentation and monitoring of maintenance and repair work through the company's web-based maintenance and repair program.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must have experience working in the marine or construction field.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to safely communicate with others in the English language.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to jobs at different sites.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
