Client Screening Coordinator - Graham, WA

Consejo Counseling and Referral Service is seeking to hire a Full-Time Client Screening Coordinator who is bilingual in Spanish for our Graham location.

Position Summary:

This role encompasses dual responsibilities within Consejo Counseling and Referral Service. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, the administrative support staff will primarily engage in screening duties and receptionist tasks, while also providing support to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct telephone screenings for client referrals to the mental health program.
  • As necessary, perform in-person client screenings for Children's and Family Services as well as the Adult and Adult with Disabilities Mental Health Departments.
  • Consult with therapists and mental health program managers/supervisors to determine appropriate response times.
  • Manage crises that arise during screenings or through incoming public calls during business hours.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with agency staff and community health services.
  • Request files from medical records for returning clients.
  • Participate in mandatory agency training and staff meetings.
  • Maintain close communication with program managers and supervisors.
  • Ensure effective intervention and follow-up with staff collaboration.
  • Refer clients to suitable services within the agency and/or community organizations.
  • Coordinate crisis responses with relevant departments or agencies.
  • Schedule screening appointments and gather necessary documentation during the screening process.
  • Track screenings and intake appointments effectively.
  • Contact clients one day prior to the intake interview to confirm appointments or reschedule as necessary.
  • Assign client identification numbers.
  • Reschedule missed appointments as directed by therapists or program managers.
  • Conduct crisis interviews and provide resources to clients in crisis.
  • Communicate with schools or referring agencies regarding client services and follow-up as per policy.
  • Maintain an up-to-date screening/referral database for accessibility.
  • Document all calls in the screening/referral database.
  • Manage the intake therapist schedule to ensure appointments align with screenings.
  • Regularly review the "Wait List" and contact clients monthly to confirm ongoing service needs.
  • Check funding availability through designated resource data files during screenings.
  • Complete all necessary financial documentation and screening forms.
  • Obtain client numbers from accounting, complete required documentation for entry into the specific County system, and forward to the Data Management Officer.
  • Serve on committees, task forces, and special assignments as needed.
  • Provide education and information to agency staff and the community as required.
  • Assist upper management upon request.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support agency operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; 2 years of experience or an Associate's degree is a plus.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to assist all levels of management as needed.
  • Demonstrated capacity to multi-task, plan, and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in an office environment is essential.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Work Schedule:

This full-time position typically operates from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Salary:

$21.00/hr., commensurate with experience and qualifications.
