About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Leasing Agent to join our team at Gotham Organization, a renowned New York real estate developer and property manager. As a Junior Leasing Agent, you will play a vital role in driving the performance of our luxury rental properties and working closely with our leasing team.

This is an on-site position based in one of our Manhattan buildings, with potential coverage in LIC or Brooklyn as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Marketing and Leasing: Effectively manage activities related to apartment rentals, including marketing, leasing, and maintaining good customer relations with current residents, prospective residents, and the brokerage community.
  • Prospect Management: Register and tour prospects, highlighting the benefits of living in a Gotham property.
  • Closing Techniques: Engage in continuous follow-up with prospects and demonstrate strong closing techniques to secure leases.
  • Communication: Respond to online inquiries, phone calls, and be knowledgeable about apartment inventory, application requirements, and building policies.
  • Data Management: Diligently track prospect information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Document Collection: Collect and prepare verification documents to efficiently process applications, collaborating with the verification team.
  • Lease Administration: Administer leases and other legal documents with attention to detail.
  • Listing Management: Manage listings of vacant apartments on key websites, updating daily and verifying accuracy and quality.
  • Lease Assignment: Handle lease assignment requests in conjunction with the Management.
  • Market Analysis: Proactively work with the leasing team to identify changes required due to current market and competitive landscape shifts.
  • Trend Discussion: Discuss market information and trends with the Leasing Director and Marketing Department.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • NYS Real Estate License required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Full-time position - 5 days a week, including weekends.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Amiable demeanor with a focus on exceptional service and effective communication.
  • Experience with property management and leasing software preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems in a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Administrative skills with attention to detail.

Estimated Salary Range:

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
