Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, including supervising and evaluating their performance.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and services.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care and services, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- A graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
- At least one year of professional nursing experience, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of nursing concepts, skills, and principles necessary to provide professional services, including assisting with all aspects of managing the Operating Room, and assisting in Same Day Surgery, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Central Supply Unit.
- Leadership, management, and administrative skills necessary to effectively manage nursing services and prioritize these services according to patient needs and outcomes.
- Proficiency in supervisory and managerial competencies, including accountability, customer service, decisiveness, flexibility, integrity/honesty, interpersonal skills, oral communication, problem-solving, resilience, and written communication.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
