Job Title: Child Care Teacher

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army of Fox Cities is seeking a qualified Child Care Teacher to join our team. As a Child Care Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of children.
  • Assist the Director in long-range planning and communicate plans to assistant teachers and aides.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, treating all children with dignity and respect.
  • Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with families, children, and staff, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Meet requirements set by licensing regulations and accreditation criteria.
  • Teaching experience in a child care center or nursery school.
  • Supervising experience, preferably in a day care setting.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

The Child Care Teacher will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with children, staff, and families. The position requires physical stamina, including getting down to children's level, lifting play equipment, and participating in outdoor activities.
