Job Title: Early Childhood Educator - Spiritual Growth SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Spiritual Growth Specialist. This role will work closely with our directors and staff to develop and implement a curriculum that promotes spiritual growth and development in children.
Responsibilities- Assist the Director in long-range planning for curriculum development, philosophy, and goals.
- Develop and implement monthly, weekly, and daily curriculum plans that meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of children.
- Implement the curriculum in a way that fosters a positive experience for each child.
- Treat all children with dignity and respect, allowing for individual differences and promoting an atmosphere of acceptance and caring.
- Be familiar with and adhere to the program's policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
- Help volunteers maintain a professional attitude toward the program, children, and staff, and assist with communication as needed.
- Plan, prepare, and care for the environment, creating a safe and engaging space for children to learn and grow.
- Meet requirements set by licensing regulations and accreditation criteria.
- Have experience teaching in a child care center or nursery school.
- Be able to supervise others, preferably in a day care setting.
- Have effective leadership and communication skills.
The Spiritual Growth Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, regularly getting down to children's level, lifting children and play equipment (up to 40 lbs.), sitting on the floor with children, taking children outdoors for play and walks, and participating in occasional field trips outside of the center.
