Building Claims Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Construction Consultant to join our Surety team at VERTEX, a global professional services firm offering integrated forensic consulting, expert witness services, construction project advisory, and compliance and regulatory consulting.
About the RoleThis Construction Consultant position provides a unique opportunity to utilize your skills in evaluating construction claims, assessing project risks, and supporting surety providers in navigating complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate construction claims and assess project risks to provide informed support to surety providers.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure quality assurance and compliance with project specifications.
- Review and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Perform technical evaluation of construction performance and payment bond claims.
- Conduct audits of project schedules and finances, preparing detailed reports.
- Review and prepare construction contract claims while supporting other regions as needed.
- Manage project documentation and submit timely reports, including time sheets and expenses.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (work experience considered in lieu of degree).
- 2+ years of professional experience in construction project management or claim management.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing and project management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a solid understanding of construction contract administration, CPM scheduling, and CSI principles.
