Consolidated Machine & Welding, a leading metal fabrication and machine shop services provider, is seeking a skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at our Hannibal, MO location.

About the Role:

  • Utilize a Safety-First mindset to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and foster strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of on-hand inventory, including transfers, scheduled cycle counts, and critical cycle counts as needed. Lead physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze and propose obsolete inventory to management, recommending the best course of action for inventory relief.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between on-hand inventory and physical counts, validating inventory accuracy in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
  • Report quality and conformance concerns regarding on-hand inventory to Quality and Purchasing, coordinating vendor returns and ensuring credits are received.
  • Prepare and communicate inventory findings through variance reporting and MRP transactions, reviewing monthly with management.
  • Ensure all storage areas are clean, organized, and labeled, adhering to divisional standards. Encourage process improvement suggestions to enhance accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm onsite, with overtime as needed.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a warehouse setting, with familiarity with warehouse operations and MRP systems.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with basic computer and office equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.
