Role Summary

As a Cellular RF Hardware Design Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing radio frequency (RF) hardware circuits and systems for wireless communications devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect RF front end designs to meet wireless product requirements
  • Perform RF system lineup analysis to ensure system designs meet industry and internal standards
  • Create and maintain specifications for RF components and drive component development with vendors
  • Be involved with schematic capture and PCB Design
  • Integrate cellular radio platforms into Apple products
Requirements
  • BSEE with 3+ years of directly relevant experience
  • Experience with radio hardware design and/or RF component design
  • Familiarity with the challenges of development for high-volume manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with RF circuits and hardware on the lab bench
  • Understanding of core technologies and physics that drive innovative RF performance
  • Proficient in wireless communications standards, wireless technology, and communications market trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, proven track record of working in a dynamic multi-functional team
  • Well-organized and able to be flexible in a changing work environment
  • Cellular Handset experience (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, Matlab) (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with Python for test setup automation and data analysis (preferred, not required)
