Job Summary

Wenzel Associates Inc is seeking a highly skilled RF Microelectronic Engineer to actively participate in the development of existing oscillator products and technologies related to analog radio frequency and/or low phase noise designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF and Microwaves circuits and be able to troubleshoot and perform problem analysis and debugging of RF circuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Perform Problem Analysis: Identify and resolve manufacturing problems and develop solutions for continuous product improvement and/or research component availability dealing with material obsolescence.
  • Design and Develop Testing Strategies: Create and implement testing strategies using Automated Test Procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Prepare and Submit ECO Documents: Prepare and submit Engineering Change Order documents for new and/or old designs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Find Suitable Substitutions: Identify and implement suitable substitutions for end-of-life parts to revise and release drawings.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to technicians as required to ensure successful project completion.
  • Analyze Measured Data: Analyze measured data for potential product performance improvements and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Meet EMC/EMI Requirements: Ensure that products meet EMC/EMI requirements and IPC industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field is required. Experience in lieu of a degree might be acceptable.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of prior experience with RF and Microwaves circuits is required.
  • Language: Must be a lawful permanent resident of the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software is required. Experience in Altium Design, Keysight Genesys, Atlassian Jira and Confluence is a plus.
  • Test Equipment: Familiarity with RF test equipment such as Signal or Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators and so on is required.
  • Digital Design Skills: Experience in debug and analysis of digital logics is a plus.
  • Analog Design Skills: Familiarity with linear electronic circuit designs is a plus.
  • Hardware Skills: Experience in RF test and measurements is required.
Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
