Job Title: Day Program Instructor

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Program Instructor to join our team. As a Day Program Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Job Summary:

The Day Program Instructor will be responsible for creating and implementing daily routines for clients, promoting their health, safety, and well-being, and advocating for their needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, including visual and active supports.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathroom needs and personal care.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with clean-up.
  • Support clients with daily living and vocational activities.
  • Transport clients in company vans, if necessary.
  • Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
  • Input client notes into computer programs and review IPP goals with supervisors.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and participate in continuing education and training.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a California Driver's License.
  • Candidates must pass a background check.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
