Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant PTA

Recess Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Physical Therapists in conducting thorough evaluations to assess the physical therapy needs of pediatric clients.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the PTs based on assessment results and the unique needs of each child.
- Provide direct physical therapy services under the supervision of PTs, including interventions to enhance motor skills, strength, coordination, and functional mobility.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.
- Monitor and document progress towards therapy goals, reporting adjustments needed to the supervising PT.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support the child's physical development at home.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of California.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of motor development, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions, and other relevant pediatric therapy techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
