Job Summary

The University of Virginia seeks a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Planning Administrator to lead transformative initiatives in facilities management and campus development. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to oversee a portfolio of facilities and critical improvement projects that will optimize our current infrastructure while paving the way for future growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the efficient management and enhancement of UVA Health's facilities portfolio.
  • Master Campus Planning: Lead the formulation of a cohesive master plan aligned with long-term strategic goals, integrating clinical, research, and educational priorities.
  • Facilities Portfolio Management: In partnership with the University Facilities Management, prioritize and oversee facilities management plans to ensure alignment with the greater University and UVA Health System strategic objectives and healthcare-specific regulatory standards.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop large and small capital projects from concept through design, garnering consensus and setting project direction.
  • Renovations and Improvements: Plan and direct the ongoing management of clinic renovations and physical plant improvements, ensuring projects meet quality standards and timelines.
  • Financial Oversight: Partner with finance teams to develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource allocation for facility projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with healthcare facility regulations and guidelines to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and guidance to a team focused on facilities planning, design, and project management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.
  • Experience: 10 years of executive financial or operational experience in a large healthcare organization demonstrating leadership, strategic thinking, and responsibility for operations.

Position Compensation Range: $182,292,156.80 Annual
