Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Innovation Engineer to drive breakthrough processes and equipment development. This role will involve working on large and small projects, with the ability to make a significant impact on our global operation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop creative solutions using emerging technologies to reinvent existing processes and develop new products.
  • Design electromechanical machines using mechanical systems and industrial controls to develop high-throughput, high-quality production equipment.
  • Manage projects from scope development to execution, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective solutions meet design criteria.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to complete projects on time and budget.
  • Apply technical skills to project planning, solution development, equipment specification, design, and startup.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve yield, increase throughput, and reduce costs.
  • Communicate and document design intent.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure project success.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with machine design and project engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical and project management skills to successfully complete multiple projects.
  • Strong preference for candidates with a blend of mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
  • Experience with servo motion control and robotics is strongly desired.
  • Electrical engineers should have a strong working knowledge of HMIs, PLCs, Servo Drives, VFDs, Industrial Networks, and Temperature Control Systems.
  • Mechanical engineers should have strong 3D design skills and experience with computer-aided engineering tools.
  • Excellent skills with MS Office and project management tools.
  • Work experience in manufacturing, plastic packaging, or extrusion is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and drive results to exceed customer expectations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with a collaborative work style and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
