Job Title: Network Engineer - Outside Plant

At Frontier Communications, we're building a digital infrastructure that unlocks the potential of millions of consumers and businesses. As a Network Engineer - Outside Plant, you'll play a critical role in delivering blazing-fast broadband connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply engineering design and policies within a telecommunications local exchange service environment.
  • Be a subject matter expert for all technical aspects of outside plant facilities and associated work.
  • Work in partnership with Network Planning, Central Office Engineering, and various Operation Teams to support customer service issues, new growth activity, and coordination.
  • Manage internal and external project management for new growth construction associated with outside plant activity.
  • Prepare project justifications for approvals, coordinate circuit designs with ISP planners/engineers, and maintain inter-company relations.
  • Prepare and monitor the capital budget plan concerning areas of responsibility, prepare cost estimates for SIFT Tickets, BDTs, and other CIAC projects, and apply for all permits as required.
  • Maintain and investigate R.O.W, easements, vacate requests, and private property issues, and maintain relations and communications with outside agencies.
Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of outside plant tasks and accounting guidelines.
  • Experience in researching private property easement documentation and permitting with local, state, and federal entities.
  • Strong knowledge of Outside Plant Facilities and Construction techniques and project management experience.
