Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In Room Dining Captain to join our team for the holiday season. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring seamless delivery of food and beverage orders, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Order Management: Understand and execute all roles of the In Room Dining team, including Private Dining Busperson, Server, and Order Taker, as needed.
- Food and Beverage Knowledge: Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods, as well as beverage lists.
- Order Delivery: Deliver food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring quality and presentation meet our high standards.
- Order Pickup: Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
- Quality Control: Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of setup, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Menu Knowledge: Have full knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Outlet Policies: Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards, ensuring compliance and consistency.
- Safety and Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for guests and team members.
- Special Projects: Assist the F&B Manager with special projects, utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word, as needed.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous Food and Beverage service experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Previous experience with Silverware, Opera, or similar Point of Sale Programs preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, high responsibility and reliability, ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ability to work cohesively as part of a team, and ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Physical Aspects of the Position
- Standing and Walking: Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Lifting and Carrying: Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Kneeling, Pushing, Pulling: Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Ladders, Stairs, Ramps: Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
