Job Summary

The Radiology Lead will oversee all aspects related to clinical services, procedures, and staff. This role will work closely with the Manager of Imaging Services to ensure the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes performance standards for X-ray and CT technologists, including technical skills, competencies, professional behavior, safety, communication, and management.
  • Facilitates communication between departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Works with the manager to maintain clinical equipment and ensure it operates within specifications.
  • Ensures quality images are obtained by technologists and protocols are followed as outlined by the radiologist.
  • Leads by example in performance and behavior, providing oversight, direction, and clinical education to technologists.
  • Assists in drafting and developing policies for operating equipment and demonstrates proficiency in diagnostic examinations.
  • Maintains a safe and proper work environment in the clinical setting.
  • Conducts annual evaluations and oversees competencies for X-Ray and CT Technologists.
  • Monitors and maintains PACS records, reconciling inaccuracies and coordinating with the EMHS PACS Team.
  • Responsible for protocol management in CT and X-Ray.
