Supply Chain Director

As a Supply Chain Supervisor at IDEXX Laboratories, you will oversee day-to-day activities for a business unit within our fast-paced Memphis Distribution Center.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a team of customer support and logistics professionals
  • Managing, coordinating, and improving the domestic shipping process
  • Managing staff, assigning work, monitoring activities, evaluating performance, and managing escalated/critical issues
  • Administering employment actions, providing coaching and guidance to staff, and promoting staff training and development
  • Maintaining proper staffing levels, scheduling, and organizing work assignments within the department, while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring quality and compliance, recommending and implementing changes as needed
  • Supporting and implementing short- and long-term distribution strategies
  • Striving for the most efficient methods in all areas of the operation

You will be a key contributor to the development of the business unit's operating policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, communication, team building, and critical thinking skills.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the operations, products, and services in the area supervised
  • Project management skills and abilities
  • Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Some travel required
