Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily patient rounds and follow-up visits, ensuring thorough documentation and effective communication with supervising physicians.

• Assist in surgical procedures, including preparation and post-operative documentation, such as admission and discharge orders and concise operative notes.

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' medical and physical conditions, including histories and physicals, to aid in formulating treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with various departments and specialists to facilitate inpatient care and discharge processes.

• Implement service recovery initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and uphold clinical excellence.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies, and manage treatment plans based on findings.

• Execute therapeutic interventions and minor procedures as necessary, such as drain removals, suture placements, and dressing changes.

• Educate patients, families, and nursing staff regarding care plans, discharge instructions, and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.

• Preferred: Two years of surgical experience or completion of a surgical residency.

• Current NCCPA certification, Maryland State PA license, CDS, DEA, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

• Compliance with credentialing standards for medical staff, including background checks.

Work Schedule:

Rotating shifts.
