Position Overview:

The role of the Flight Instructor - Rotor Wing involves delivering comprehensive flight, simulator, and ground instruction in alignment with aviation regulations and program standards. This position is critical in ensuring that all students achieve the necessary competencies and meet training objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct flight instruction as permitted by aviation regulations, adhering to the established Training Course Outline.
  • Administer Stage Checks and proficiency evaluations.
  • Maintain precise training records for all students.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols throughout the training process.
  • Coordinate and manage training schedules for assigned students.
  • Participate in instructor and student meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of 200 hours of total flight time.
  • Possession of an FAA Certificated Flight Instructor credential.
  • At least 500 hours of instructional experience and completion of two full semesters in the program.
  • Current FAA Class I or Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Proficient piloting skills, including the ability to execute required flight maneuvers.
  • Strong understanding of effective instructional techniques applicable in both classroom and flight settings.
  • Familiarity with relevant Federal Aviation Regulations and operational procedures.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment while exercising sound judgment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, maintaining an 80% pass rate for evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating in Bravo Airspace.
  • Experience with density altitude flying above 5,000 feet.
