Job Summary:

This position will provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Airmen's Information Manual, advisory circulars, airport operational requirements, and program policies and procedures. The successful candidate will schedule students, maintain accurate records, and ensure each student meets course standards, training requirements, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform authorized flight instructor duties in accordance with the current Training Course Outline.
  • Maintain accurate program records, including student training records.
  • Ensure students understand and practice all aspects of the Safety Program.
  • Manage training schedules of assigned students.
  • Attend instructor and student meetings as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 250 hours total flight time.
  • FAA Certificated Flight Instructor.
  • Current FAA Class I or Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Aircraft piloting skills, including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply effective instructional technique in the classroom and in flight.
  • Knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and related administrative and operational procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment.
  • Strong customer service skills. Maintain 80% pass rate for final review and stage checks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bravo Airspace experience.
  • Density Altitude flying above 5,000 feet.
