Position Overview

DIS-TRAN Steel is currently in search of a Fitter to become a valuable member of our fabrication team at the Pineville Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings to accurately fit various structures, including:

  • Tubular steel transmission poles
  • Latticed transmission towers
  • Substation deadend and support structures
  • Specialty structures

As a Fitter, you will be expected to execute steel layouts in accordance with precise specifications. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate speed and accuracy in fitting tasks to ensure high-quality output.
  2. Utilize measuring tools and equipment to perform calculations effectively.
  3. Operate machinery, including cranes, to handle and position steel components.
