Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Stoneham, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
  • Replace defective components as instructed.
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly pay: $32.43 per hour.
  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700.
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter.
  • Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days.
  • Tool allowance: $425 per year.
