Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a proactive and committed Associate Attorney to become a vital part of our esteemed legal team.

In this role, you will be responsible for representing clients in complex civil litigation cases, showcasing exceptional knowledge and expertise in courtroom proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Representing clients in court or before governmental agencies, presenting evidence to advocate for clients in civil litigation.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to provide counsel to clients or to prepare cases.
  • Reviewing legal data to assess the advisability of defending or prosecuting a lawsuit.
  • Negotiating settlements of civil disputes in a manner that best serves the interests of the client.
  • Participating in depositions, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys to devise legal strategies.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical standards as mandated by law or the state bar.
  • Staying informed about changes in the law and advising colleagues and clients accordingly.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • A license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a proven track record of representing clients in court.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to think strategically and rapidly analyze and interpret legal documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently when necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate persuasively.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to resolve matters favorably for clients.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • A high level of professionalism and adherence to strict ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
