About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our team at Stratasys. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing legal services related to commercial contracts, business matters, and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Contracts: Partner with internal business partners to support sales functions and other corporate functions, such as business development. Review and negotiate commercial terms and conditions with customers, including purchase orders and master agreements for the sale of products and services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide guidance and support regarding export and import classification determinations. Coordinate security assessments, tests, and/or reviews to ensure proper protection and/or corrective measures are taken when necessary.
  • Compliance Program Management: Manage and create business processes; implement import, export, customs, sanctions, and government contract policies, tools, and guidelines in line with corporate policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Export and Import Compliance: Complete license/exception determination on all international shipments, including Restricted Party Screening and ensures proper AES filings. Assist in the determination to release international shipments, and manage the denied party screening solution.
  • Government Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with the FAR, DFARS, FTR, EAR, ITAR, U.S. economic sanctions programs, privacy law, and other legal and regulatory requirements related to government contracts, import, and export.
Requirements
  • Education: A law degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Experience: 8+ years demonstrated experience in general corporate matters with a focus on commercial contracts and corporate and regulatory compliance. 2+ years demonstrated experience negotiating sales contracts with the US government.
  • Skills: Knowledge of economic sanctions, export classifications, FTA, Importer Security Filing and Additional Carrier Requirements (ISF), export and imports classifications, import/export documentation, and valuations of products.
