Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at Hartwig. As a key member of our Automation Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our customers in various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation systems, including robotic programming and PLC/HMI program modification
  • Collaborate with sales and application teams to provide technical support and identify automation solutions
  • Perform basic to complex configurations and integrate electronic and mechanical hardware with software products
  • Develop and optimize robotic programs, PLC/HMI programs, and vision programs
  • Assist with the assembly of special projects, upgrades, or retrofits
  • Ensure proper documentation and safety protocols are followed
Requirements
  • Two-year degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Parker CTC, ACAD Electrical, etc.
  • Experience in machine tool processes and automation engineering preferred
  • Okuma machine programming experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Gantt Charts, CAD software, and personal computers
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of automation, end of arm tooling, and machine tending best practices
