We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at Freedom Pointe at The Villages. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being in a warm and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing duties to assist licensed nurses and other staff members in supporting department operations and delivering exceptional care to residents.
- Bathe residents as scheduled and provide other necessary personal care, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Record medication and personal care given on the Daily Care Record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Report relevant changes to the Charge Nurse, ensuring seamless communication and care coordination.
- Utilize and submit charge sheets on a daily basis, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Perform any other duty in which the appropriate training level has been achieved, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Make resident rounds with the off-going shift, ensuring residents are clean, comfortable, and their overall condition is assessed.
- Lift, turn, and transfer residents when needed, utilizing proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Pass out fresh ice water to each resident, promoting hydration and comfort.
- Assist residents in feeding and ensuring food is appropriately portioned, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
- Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service, contributing to a clean and organized dining area.
- Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in dining areas, adhering to infection control and universal precaution practices.
- Attend server training sessions on proper procedures for serving meals, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in service.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned, staying up-to-date on the latest care practices and techniques.
- Implement new skills learned in training to enhance job performance, demonstrating a growth mindset and a desire for continuous improvement.
- Must hold current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas or possess written documentation from the state examiner that requirements for such were met.
- Successfully complete competency evaluation requirements under state guidelines, demonstrating a high level of competence and skill.
- Have completed and been certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR-Healthcare Provider) preferred, showcasing a commitment to emergency preparedness and response.
