We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC. As a 23-Hour Stay Pre-Post Op RN, you will provide exceptional care to patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects, assesses, and analyzes patient data to develop a plan of care.
  • Performs and interprets EKGs, and IV access according to perioperative requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of equipment and stays up-to-date with current perioperative nursing trends.
  • Provides immediate postoperative care in our 23-hour stay unit.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements:
  • R.N. license to practice in the State of Iowa.
  • Mandatory reporting course within the previous 3 years.
  • IV skills.
  • Knowledge of perioperative services and patient education.
  • Maintains BLS certification.
  • Maintains ACLS certification, or obtains within 6 months of hire.
