We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC. As a 23-Hour Stay Pre-Post Op RN, you will provide exceptional care to patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Collects, assesses, and analyzes patient data to develop a plan of care.
- Performs and interprets EKGs, and IV access according to perioperative requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of equipment and stays up-to-date with current perioperative nursing trends.
- Provides immediate postoperative care in our 23-hour stay unit.
- Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- R.N. license to practice in the State of Iowa.
- Mandatory reporting course within the previous 3 years.
- IV skills.
- Knowledge of perioperative services and patient education.
- Maintains BLS certification.
- Maintains ACLS certification, or obtains within 6 months of hire.
